Job Purpose
Ensure effective project governance through implementing and maintaining an effective financial control environment, establish and manage cost and forecast schedules for effective and accurate cost management as well as partner with the Project Finance Manager by providing high quality, accurate, timely, and compliant financial information for project reporting and decision making.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Project Finance Manager and Project Director in successfully delivering the project on time, within budget and scope.
- Implement and maintain the appropriate Governance tools and guidelines to support the project especially from a Finance, Procurement and Project point of view with regard to Procurement, expediting and payments;
- Generate project related purchase requisitions(PRs) as required and follow through on the conversion thereof to purchase orders(POs)
- Expedite POs to ensure these are delivered on time.
- Follow up on project expenditure where POs have not been placed or not required.
- Assist in facilitating and providing input for project related payments.
- Oversee the campsite administration related matters eg invoicing, and payments with regards to General Ledger and Project Budgets.
- Manage and maintain project related chart of accounts and ensure the accuracy of project related transactions and the allocation thereof.
- Maintain the project related budgets and routine reporting on project expenditure, budgets and provide insights into costs and trends.
- Effectively communicate or present reports to the project team.
- Provide support to the employers team in administration or financial matters.
- Track project assets, identify and arrange for the capitalisation of project assets and maintain a register of assets under financial limits.
- Promote and adhere to the Project Charter, policies and guidelines including without limitation those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti Bribery and Corruption(ABC)
- Diploma in Accounting and/or Finance from recognised institution.
- Extensive administration experience in controlling and reporting on budgets
- Sound understanding of financial systems ie SAP, Experience with purchase requisition and order processes, vendor management, and payment processing
- Good Financial & business acumen, previous project experience is preferred with the ability to anticipate, interpret, and respond to changes impacting on functional area
- Excellent MS Office skills ie Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
