Job Purpose:
Keep record of all tools, issuing of tools and maintaining tools.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory management of tool store to maximize equipment availability, reduced time to repair and cost management of tool exchange.
Ensure Critical store tools are available when required and communicate any shortage to the maintenance foreman.
Issue tools and equipment to maintenance personnel.
File, index and update inventory cards and record tools received from stockroom.
Inspect new and repaired tools and equipment for proper operation.
Write requisitions and tallies for the repair or replacement of tools.
Write transmittals for the release of tools and equipment to vendors for repair.
Perform general cleanup, clerical or maintenance work incidental to the operation of the tool store.
Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns.
Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels.

Job Qualification and Experience:

Minimum, Certificate of secondary education.
A certificate of records management is an added advantage.
Knowledge of basic hand tools and equipment.
Maintains good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
Skills and knowledge to be able to identify, distinguish different store items and their purpose.
Basic understanding of daily workshop activities.
kills and knowledge to be able to inspect different tools available or used in store room and workshop.

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent contract.
