Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for Manage Bulk Storage Facility (BSF) shift team to ensure production targets are met in a safe and efficient manner compliant to all food safety requirements.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and supervise the daily work and performance of each employee on assigned shift, organize schedules, and assign work activity to achieve team and company objectives safely
Together with the teams, achieve shift, daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets for respective area by ensuring that tasks are prioritized and planned in a logical, systematic and cost-effective way to optimize profitability
Develop budget for BSF with Factory Head, finance business partner, optimization/ COE and manage costs effectively
Identify areas where packing performance and quality management can be improved and manage the implementation of systems and processes to make improvements
Ensure all BSF operations adhere to Food safety systems and quality management systems as required
Ensure continuous improvement by implementing functional best practices and conducting physical inspections
Ensure compliance with minimum operating standards
Ensure technical reporting in compliance with company policy and procedure
Manage product and packaging material requirements as per S&OP requirements
Identify and monitor KPIs to track performance and flag any issues
Promote and adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)

Job Qualification and Experience

Minimum: Bachelor's degree
3+ years post in Production or Warehousing environment in the sugar industry or FMCG equivalent
2+ years Supervisory experience
Completed necessary training modules for area of responsibility e.g. Foreman Training Programme at the Illovo Technical Academy

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
