Job Purpose

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and random inventory counts when requested by management as per WMS process to ensure a strong focus is always maintained on inventory accuracy in the warehouse
- Regularly (daily and weekly) verify physical stock levels against WMS records and report to management and update any authorized adjustments
- Follow a systematic cycle counting process based on WMS and warehouse guidelines when counting stock
- Investigate stock discrepancies by tracing errors to possible causes such as miscounts, misplaced stock or data entry errors
- Support and assist the warehouse and finance teams to conduct monthly/quarterly/bi-annual/end of year stock counts
- Comply with the process of recording stock counts/cycle counts in the Warehouse Management System
- Ensure stock accuracy by following agreed warehouse policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Assist in audit and compliance checks when requested
- Ensure stock is stored accurately to prevent damages, misplacement and ease of counting/scanning
- Assist in identifying slow moving, damaged or obsolete stock
- Participate in meetings to discuss inventory issues and improvements
Job Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management, Business Administration or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ inventory control experience preferably in FMCG sector
- Knowledge and competence on how to operate on a Warehouse Management System
- A good understanding of end-to-end warehouse processes
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to plan and organize work tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with good numerical skills
