Job Purpose
Operate the decanting feed system to consistently supply the FSSC with sugar for secondary packing, carry out associated operations according to standards and to ensure that targets and KPI’s are met.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that work is done to the relevant safety and quality standards.

Perform setup machine operations as per operating practices per machine.
Operate 1ton machine as required and achieve its build capacity and efficiency.
Operate Decanting machines as required and ensure machines available and achieve efficiency.
Identify possible causes of level fluctuations and immediately resolve those that relate to machine operations.
Continually work towards achieving maximum machine efficiency (the machine operating at its best) and eliminate waste where possible.

Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance procedures to ensure that machine operations are at maximum efficiency.
Assist the Technicians/Artisan with breakdowns on the decanting system.

Work according to the standards and ways of working

Job Qualification and Experience

Diploma in electrical control or programming or similar technical qualification
3 years’ experience in packing in a quality focused and performance driven factory environment, ideally operating large scale automated machinery (preferred)
Ability to work well in a team, having great fault finding and problem-solving skills in a fast-moving production environment.
Qualified and licensed in forklift operations an advantage.
Experience in basic machine operations.
Able to read and understand SOPs.

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
