Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible to attend repairs, fitting, and maintenance on mechanical parts in the factories.

The successful candidate will be responsible to attend repairs, fitting, and maintenance on mechanical parts in the factories.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment as per checklists timely and submit to a section planner.
- To ensure planned maintenance of mechanical equipment are executed timely.
- To conduct off crop maintenance/overhauls as planned.
- Carry out agreed monitoring, sampling & analysis routines to identify & escalate non-conformances in a timely manner.
- Close relationship and communication with operation team to enable timely troubleshooting of equipment breakdown.
- Clear communication and partnership with other maintenance partner (maintenance planner, CBM, instrument, electrical and operational) personnel to ensure maximum plant availability.
- Adhere to maintenance best practices as per Illovo IAMP practices.
- Ensure proper use and storage of all working tools and provide the checklist to the maintenance foreman or section planner for record keeping.
- Adhere to Illovo values (Accountability, empowerment, integrity, commitment and inclusiveness)
- VETA Trade Test grade I of fitting mechanics or equivalent mechanical experience.
- At least 2 years' experience of doing maintenance in a sugar factory.
- Ordinary level secondary education.
