Job Purpose
To repair company vehicles, trailers, implements farm machinery and mobile irrigation pumps to agreed set standards by using hand tools, manuals and other workshop equipment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Carries out repairs to company vehicles/farm machinery, trailers, implements etc. according to repair specifications.
Conducting preventive maintenance/alternate service to company vehicles/farm machinery, trailer, implement, etc. according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Carries out vehicle test and report any fault/findings to LDV & TRUCK Maintenance Foreman.
Co-operate with management to enable them to perform their duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Perform all tasks with “awareness” towards the prevention of any forms of pollution to the surrounding and environment.
Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System at Kilombero Sugar to achieve the quality standards.
Maintains a clean working environment with proper housekeeping.

Job Qualification and Experience

Trade Test Grade II in Automotive Mechanics
Form Four secondary Certificate
At least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanic
Valid driving license

Terms Of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
