Job Purpose
The successful candidate will focus to develop innovative, tailored, effective and impactful social programs that support the strategic and business centric focus of CSR. These social programs should be developed and implemented in compliance with the company’s guidelines and financial control processes.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support to identify social programs to be implemented in line with KCCT strategy
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies Manage reporting on sustainability initiatives and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development of KCCT sustainability and social programs strategic plan to ensure all identified sustainability and social programs initiatives are planned, budgeted and aligned to the overall business objectives
  • To represent KCCT to Government, International Agencies, Funding and other partners, potential donors and other bodies including civil society relationships with the above stakeholders and industry partners to keep them informed and updated of project activities and results and raise awareness of KCCT locally, nationally and internationally
  • Responsible for the budgets and accounting of KCCT and providing regular reports to the Board of Trustees as well as ensure compliance of the Trust
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a marketing and fundraising strategy. By targeting in country and external funding initiatives he/she will raise the profile of KCCT and awareness of the needs of the Kilombero communities and identify opportunities to secure funds to support its development projects and activities, with primary focus on the Kilombero growers Vision
  • Responsible to maintain and improve existing stakeholder relationships particularly with surrounding Kilombero grower communities to fully understand the needs and to ensure ownership of the projects and results
  • To identify, develop and implement new project proposals to support the development of the surrounding communities, again with primary focus on the Kilombero growers Vision
Job Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Public Relations, Sustainability or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years in fundraising, donor relations, or resource mobilization in NGOs, development agencies
  • Proven track record in executing strategies and impactful programs
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment
  • Proven track record in executing successful community investment programs fundraising & sustainable partnerships
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required
  • Strong proposal writing (Technical and Financial).
  • Excellent networking abilities.
  • Knowledge of donor landscape and funding mechanisms
  • Adept to project development and management
  • Proven ability to address issues or difficulties in the management and implementation of projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Swahili
  • Sound negotiation skills and creative thinking
  • Proven collaborative management skills in a project environment

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Fixed Term Contract.
