Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible to assist the mechanical, electrical or instrumentation technician and to do various tasks in the day-to-day maintenance of distillery and associated sections.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Ensuring that tools and spares are collected, cleaned, and properly stored.
Monitoring pumps and equipment by means of a checklist and reporting defaults.
Clean mechanical equipment as per scheduled maintenance plan.
Ensuring mechanical safety precautions is adhered to, to ensure safety of people and machinery.
Check that equipment installations are still intact.
Dismantle and assemble pumps and mechanical equipment.
Assist with Electrical and Instrumentation tasks.
Attend to any other task as allocated by superiors.

Job Qualification and Experience

At least form IV certificate accompanied with vocational training in fitter mechanics trade test grade 1 and above.
Extensive knowledge in electrical machinery, running behavior, safety and lock out procedures.
2+ years’ experience working in mechanical jobs in manufacturing industry.
Mentally and physically fit.

Terms Of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent contract.
